Accounting Intern
JOB ROLE
The Accounting Intern is responsible for supporting the accounting team with various financial tasks and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role assisting in the preparation of financial reports, data entry, and maintaining financial documentation. The ideal candidate should be familiar with basic accounting principles and eager to develop skills in financial management. The Accounting Intern will ensure that all financial activities align with BVT’s policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education
Bachelor’s degree, or minimum Diploma in Accounting.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Accurate Online, or similar software.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Having internship experience in the accounting field is a plus.
- Brevet A & B Certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment, respecting and valuing diversity within the team and communities served.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Financial Data Entry
- Input financial transactions into accounting software.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date financial records.
Support in Financial Reporting
- Help in the preparation monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Document Management
- Organize and maintain financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and other records.
- Ensure all financial documentation filled correctly.
Learning & Development
- Engage in learning opportunities to understand the company’s financial operations.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and best practices in accounting.
