200 Bamboo Villages Across the Tropical Belt by 2030
In partnership with the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, Bamboo Village Trust is working to establish 200 Bamboo Villages across the tropical belt by providing technical support and preparatory grants through the Backbone Landscape Partner organizations
As we approach World Bamboo Day on September 18th, let’s kickstart the journey with the ReBuilt Dialogue on September 16th & 17th. This two-day event will focus on the shift from green to regenerative development! 🌍✨

• Panels exploring sustainable forest economies, architecture, and adaptable housing
• Interactive discussions on creating a greener, more resilient future

Last week, we gathered virtually with our 26 Backbone Landscape Partners (BBLP) to officially sign the partnership charter. This marks a significant step forward in our mission to develop bamboo-based social forestry across 11 countries, impacting over 100,000 hectares of land in this first round alone. 🌍💚
During the event, we also introduced our specialists to the BBLPs, each bringing expertise in key areas to support our ambitious plans for new bamboo villages. This first round concludes with a strong foundation laid for a greener, more sustainable future.
Together, we are creating a restoration economy that empowers communities and promotes environmental sustainability. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this transformative journey!
